Overall, Roanna thought that the Joie Roomie Glide crib was an excellent buy.  describes it  loved its sleek design.

The Roomie Glide is available to purchase at John Lewis for PS160, which Roanna considered to be an affordable price for a cot featuring such advanced features. She also liked the way it was positioned in the bedroom, and believed that its grey colour will work well in modern homes. However, she pointed out that it's not a great idea to rock a younger baby as it could set a bad habit for later sleep patterns.

It is available in charcoal or oak with a variety of melange fabrics that will blend with all styles of decor. Anna found it to be sturdy and secure when affixed to her bed with the legs firmly snapping into the bed and the zips secured for baby-safety. It took her around 10 minutes to assemble and didn't require any tools, with clear instructions and a video or customer support number available if you run into any problems.

This is one of Chicco's more expensive options, however it comes with a lot of features. It's designed as a side sleeper or a standalone crib, and is suitable for babies up to six months. It comes with a new mechanism to open and close the side panel. It's simple to use even with one hand. It's also more flexible than its predecessor, having 11 different height levels and feet that retract to place under any bed.

Our testers loved the ease of access the side panel provides, which can be moved up and down with just one push of the button. This was especially helpful during nighttime feedings as they could reach inside and pick their baby up without waking them.

It is possible to lower the side panel by itself, but this isn't recommended as it increases the risk that your child will get out of the cot. The safety locking system guarantees that the side panel will stay down if it is attached correctly to the parent's mattress. This feature is great for peace of mind if you are breastfeeding and need frequent nighttime feeds.

The Next2Me Magic was easy to use and set up for our test subjects, despite the lengthy instruction manual. It is a little heavier than other side-sleepers but it can still be easily moved from one room to another. It's also foldable up into its travel bag which is a great option for those who want to transport it. The only drawback our test subjects found was that the side panel didn't flex like some of the other models, which made it a little harder to observe your child from your own bed.

The cot conversion kit (sold separately) is also well-designed, with clear instructions and everything you need to start. It took us about an hour to assemble, and was relatively simple. The only downside to the instructions was that some images did not have captions. This made it difficult for us to follow the instructions. However, it was an easy process and the quality of the materials used was high.

In co-sleeping mode we found the Shnuggle Air to be an excellent choice for breastfeeding mums and women who have had a C-section since it allows them to easily reach out to their newborn for comfort and feeding without having to climb out of their bed. It's also great for mothers who prefer not to go through the stress of getting in and out of a traditional cot, or putting their baby down for a nap.

The motion of gliding was found to be very helpful in lulling babies into sleep following meals at night or midday. The drop-down side can also be easily accessible to feed or calm babies in the middle of the night and was a major selling point for our exhausted test moms. Although it doesn't rock or have additional features such as a sound machine, the Joie Roomie Glide's elegant design and practicality are a welcome addition to our top crib reviews for bed.
