The Joie Roomie Glide is a bedside crib that lets parents sleep together with their baby while ensuring they're sleeping safely. The sliding side panel of the cot can be raised and lowered with a simple push of a single button. This makes it easy to reach inside and soothe a crying baby at night. It has 11 height adjustments to accommodate almost any mattress size. It also has adjustable folding feet to ensure that it is at the right level.
In terms of safety the cot is cushioned and has mesh sides to provide more airflow, and the mattress is made of high-density foam for additional protection. It's also wipeable to keep it clean, and it comes with a fitted sheet that's suitable for the cot.
The Roomie Glide, unlike some other cribs for beds, is compatible with most beds including divans. This is thanks to the clips and straps which connect to it. It can be used as a stand-alone crib if it isn't attached to the bed. It comes with a variety of incredible features that were that were designed with baby and parent bonding in mind.
It is important to remember that this crib won't last as long as when your baby turns six months. You will have to purchase a larger cot. Overall, Roanna felt that the Joie Roomie Glide was a really good buy and she was particularly impressed by its sleek design.
The Roomie Glide is available to purchase from John Lewis for PS160, which Roanna considered to be a reasonable price for a cot with such advanced features. She liked how it looked in her bedroom and thought its grey color would fit most modern homes. She did mention that it's not an ideal idea to rock a baby in the early years because it can cause an unfavourable sleep pattern for later.
The Tutti Bambini CoZee
The Tutti Bambini CoZee is an award-winning bedside crib that was designed with a secure night's rest in mind. It comes with a drop-side rail that can be easily lifted to feed your child at night without disturbing them or forcing them out of the bed. This is ideal for mothers who breastfeed! It's also lightweight, which makes it easy to move around the house during naps and for travelling.
It's made of soft material and features breathable mesh sides to promote airflow. It's available in oak and charcoal, with a range of melange fabrics that are compatible with all decor styles. Anna found it to be solid and secure when it was attached to her bed. The legs snapped into place and the zippers were secured to ensure safety. It took her around 10 minutes to put together and did not require tools, and comes with clear instructions and a video or customer support number if you have any issues.
The CoZee crib has all the features you would expect from a crib for your bed, including the ability to attach it to your existing bed using a stay-in place connection system. It also has six height settings. In addition, there is an inclined feature that can be used to aid babies suffering from reflux or congestion. It can also be washed in the machine and is a must for all the dribbles, vomit, and snot that come with a newborn baby!
The CoZee is a fantastic option for keeping your child in the first six months of learning to fall asleep independently. It can be used as a cot, changing station and toddler bed. With the addition of a sofa-bed extension pack, it could be converted into an actual bed. It will not feed your baby or magically make them sleep it will gently rock them and send them off!
The Chicco Next2Me Magic
This is one of the more expensive alternatives. However, it has numerous great features. It can be used either a side-sleeper or a standalone crib that is suitable for infants ranging from birth to six months. It's easy to open and close the side panel thanks to the new mechanism. It's also more flexible than the predecessor, with 11 different height settings and retractable legs for a secure fit underneath any bed.
Our testers were impressed with the simple access to the side panel, which can be lowered and raised at the touch of the button. This was particularly helpful at night, as they could reach inside and pick their baby up without disturbing them.
The side panel can be removed on its own, but it's not advised as it increases the risk of your baby falling out of the cot. The safety locking system ensures that the side panel will only stay down if it is connected correctly to the mattress of the parent. This feature is fantastic to have peace of mind when you breastfeed and require frequent night feeds.
The Chicco Next2Me Magic is designed to work with any bed, including divan bases and beds with drawers due to the telescopic legs. It also has tilting functions for babies with reflux and a rocking mode to help them sleep after feeding. It's also extremely spacious and offers excellent ventilation thanks to its mesh sides.
Our testers found the Next2Me Magic easy to set up and use, although it comes with a long instruction manual. It's a bit heavier than some of the other side-sleepers, however it's very mobile and can be moved from room to room easily. It's also foldable up into its travel bag which is ideal for those who want to transport it. The only downside our testers found was that the side panel did not flex as much as some of the other models, making it slightly harder to observe your child from your own bed.
The Shnuggle Air
If you're looking for a crib for your bed that will grow with your child, then the Shnuggle Air is definitely worth a look. It's a crib for co-sleeping that is securely attached to your bed and can be transformed into a chic cot when your baby is old enough. Ideal for feeding at night and enhancing the bond between you and your baby's new.
In contrast to other models of bedside cribs, the Shnuggle Air is built with breathability in mind. Its dual-view mesh sides as well as airflow mattress that is breathable and hypoallergenic increase airflow to keep your baby cool and comfortable. The gentle slope helps alleviate colic and reflux.
