What is a bedside crib?
A bedside crib (also known as a bassinet or co-sleeper) is a small baby cot that attaches to your adult bed, allowing your infant to sleep safely next to you. It's a method of safe co-sleeping that doesn't increase the risk of sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS) similar to bedsharing and can help you build a bond with your new arrival.

Unlike some bedside cribs, which can be a challenge to clean due to their endless stream of dribble and snot The Tutti Bambini CoZee Air has a wipe-clean liner and fabric that can be removed to wash in the machine. It also has an upper bar that can be easily lowered to allow for feeding at night without the need to juggle zips.
Anna discovered that the CoZee could provide a safe, comfortable place to sleep for her infant. It was a pleasure to not move like other models, which meant she wasn't disturbed in the night trying to soothe her baby for feedings. The Iora is an infant bassinet designed to help parents feel connected with their baby as they sleep. It adjusts up and down and can be moved through three slide positions to fit next to the bed of the parent, or in the corner of the room to ensure that your baby is close at hand. The mesh siding lets air circulate through, allowing you to see your baby quickly. You can also store additional pajamas or other items in the large storage basket beneath.
Unlike some other smaller bedside cribs The Iora folds flat and comes with a bag for travel which allows it to be taken anywhere. Our mom testers were able to move it from room to room and felt it was a great size for a small bedside cot, and not too big or too small. The large storage basket is perfect to store bedding and nappies.
This is a great option for parents who want to co-sleep, but don't wish to share their bed. If one of the partners has mobility issues like arthritis or back pain. Our mom testers love the ease with which they can access their child in the Iora, and that it comes with an adjustable reflux incline that can aid in reducing gas.
Our mothers appreciate that the mattress follows NICE guidelines. They recommend placing the infant in the Moses basket or crib on its own without blankets, toys or pillows. The mattress is also sturdy and comfortable for the baby and sheets are readily available. It's not as light as other smaller cribs on our list, so if prefer something lighter and easier to move, choose another alternative.
